Bridge watchman

Grade 12 certificate (Not Mandatory)
Bridge Watch Rating certificate
MED STCW Basic Safety certificate
MED STCW Proficiency of Survival Craft certificate
Marine Basic First Aid
Restricted Operator Certificate – Marine Commercial
Food Safe
Transport Canada marine medical
RCMP Criminal record check (Non-Finger Print Check)
Valid passport (Photo Page Only)
Discharge Book (not mandatory)
SVMO (not mandatory , but an asset to have)

Deckhand  (Restricted to Harbors and Rivers)

Resume (Containing Standard information along with the following: 3 references, City and province, email and phone number)
Grade 12 certificate (Not Mandatory)
MED A2 (If required as per Vessel Trading Certificate)
Marine Basic First Aid (If required as per Vessel Trading Certificate)
Restricted Operator Certificate – Marine Commercial (If required as per Vessel Trading Certificate)
Transport Canada marine medical (Mandatory)
RCMP Criminal record check (Non-Finger Print Check)
Valid passport (Photo Page Only)
Discharge Book (not mandatory)

Required to obtain Bridge Watch Rating certificate within 6 months of employment (Only for employment with Seaspan)
